The Rapides Foundation awarded Louisiana Central a three-year Future of HealthC.A.R.E. (Career, Academic Readiness and Exploration for Students) Program Grant to create Healthcare Career Central. Through this grant, the Foundation seeks to increase the number of qualified Central Louisiana students enrolling in healthcare training programs or entering into the healthcare workforce. The Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana Foundation has awarded a grant to Louisiana Central. This grant enables Healthcare Career Central to provide technical assistance and training for employers, educators, and counselors who are exposing students to healthcare careers.
