Healthcare ACE Project

HEALTHCARE ACE seeks to raise Central Louisiana students’ awareness of healthcare careers. We are partnering with school boards across The Rapides Foundation’s 9-Parish Service Area. This project is funded by a Future of HealthC.A.R.E. Program Grant from The Rapides Foundation which seeks to increase the number of qualified Central Louisiana students enrolling in healthcare training programs or entering the healthcare workforce. We deliver a no-cost, one-day event that’s tailor-made for high school students. Snacks and lunch are provided in between hands-on learning workshops that engage students in discovering what it’s like to prepare for and work in high demand healthcare fields. Our workshops are led by college faculty from Northwestern State University of Louisiana and Central Louisiana Technical Community College.
